  4. Index funds are far better than mutual funds and often outperform individual stock picks
  5. Maximize your tax deferred/Tax free accounts
  6. Learn the difference between a need and a want
  7. Marry the right person (don't marry the wrong person)
  8. Pay yourself first
  9. If you dont understand it, don't invest in it
