Friendship continues to be a recurring theme in my life and a recurring theme in listener desired topics. In this week's episode of the podcast, I begin to answer a listener question from December about navigating friendships where there is a wide income gap. It is a delicate topic but thats why we need to talk about it. In this episode, we discuss:

  1. The widening income gap I've observed recently and my experience making /having less
  2. Results from a recent study by credit Karma
  3. Six tips to navigate friendshps with wide income and wealth gaps as the friend that makes less including
    1. Honoring your own budget and financial boundaries
    2. Accepting generousity but not feeling entitled to it
    3. What to do about your feelings
    4. A reminder that your net worth is not your self worth
    5. Re-evaluating the friendship
    6. What signals might lie underneath the tension
    7. A reminder about agency and my hope for anyone  navigating this situation
